Responsibilities: An eastern medicine doctor is someone who specializes in
alternative medicine and other practices that can vary from acupuncture to
therapeutic massage and even herbalism. They use treatments not typically used
by professionals or proven to show results.
Salary: $30,000-$70,000
Education: An eastern
medicine doctor must attend college or a university or some accredited school that
offers a degree or certificate. There are several certificate programs
available in alternate medicine specialties, for examples, massage therapy or
herbal medicine.
Reflection: Do you think
you would like to be one? Why or why not? I do not think I would be interested
in the eastern medicine field particularly, because, eastern medicine and
alternate medicine is not in fact scientifically or medically approved as in
they are not accredited or have been scientifically proven.
